Actually Steve I've been doing some reading and research but I've always been some what of a "show me don't tell me" type person. At the present I only own the Kit lens that came with the D70 (AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G IF-ED). So you have me at a disadvantage when you speak of limitations of a lens that goes to 5.6 on the long end. Basically I'm looking for a affordable zoom for landscape, concert and sport photography. I've read several favorable user reviews but then not knowing the source of these reviews you don't know if they also gave four and a half stars to a coke bottle. Reading through posts here on the forum I can tell who are the professional photographers by their equipment knowledge. So saying that there are opinions I would find more valuable than others. In a nutshell I have found the lens in question on Ebay at a current bid of 250 dollars. If I am correct this is half of what it lists for. I'd just like to know if it would be a good buy/good lens for a aspiring photographer to begin expanding his lens arsenal with.

You should check the latest visa bulletin from DOS..so you won't be able to file 140 & 485 concurrently...

IV Physicans group worked on it led by Core team member- Paskal. Paskal had made several trips to DC to get support for the bill. IV had also sent a letter of support and provided guidance in its advocacy effort to people involved.

I was thinking on same lines. Who cares for h1 if 485 is denied. As days pass everything becomes so difficult. H1 used to be breeze 2 years back and now a lottery. GC is already retrogressed. Who knows when you start all over your GC again after 485 rejected what will happen.
I would add another point at 5th line.
You have 2 choices.

second stay in US illegal like millions of other people and get GC even faster.

You can have independent status of EAD, but your wife's EAD is based on her 485 and her 485 is based on your 485. If your 485 is denied, your EAD is invalid and you dont have any status. Eventually her 485 will also be denied based on your denial that will make her EAD invalid. Hope this helps! Basic rule! Until the 485 denial of individual application, individual EAD is valid

My wife will be coming back in April 2nd week through Denver. CO POE. Her AP is valid until June 3rd week.
My question is that is 2 months of AP validity / cushion enough or safe to enter the US.
Any experiences from forum members about using their AP when there is 2 months or less left in the expiry of the AP document and they entered the US. Did anyone have any bad experience at POE due to near expiry of the AP. Members entered through Denver, CO POE with their experiences would be an added help.

I applied for my permenant residency on Feb, 2002 under EB3 category. My PD is 02-DD-2002. As of today my LC and I-140 has been certified. I am from India.
Recently i got a new job offer from another company and the new employer is willing to sponsor my green card under PERM - EB2 category. I understand that its very easy to get the LC and I-140 certification within months under PERM premium processing. In this case my new priority date will be the date i apply my new LC.
If i get my PERM LC and I-140 under EB2 category with new employer, at the time of filing I-485 can i use my old priority date (Feb, 02) instead of PERM LC priority date?
My question is
With new PERM LC and I-140, can i apply for I-485 with my old priority date from the first LC? Please kindly provide your suggestion
The current labor belongs you b/c I-140 has been approved. Secure your current approved LC and I-140 documents and then move on to the new employer's pay roll.

I have a 4 yr degree + approx 7 yrs experience before joining current company in US.My labor required a bachelor+5 yr progressive experience and did not mention about Masters.

I recently received RFE .In one of the point the officer has mentioned that the classicfication requires advanced degree and has asked me to submit academic record for advanced degree in addition to transcript+credithours+attendence for bachelor degree.
I have been thinking that bachelor+ 5 yrs experience is ok for EB2.But now i am confused.
Pls throw in some light.

I am wondering how difficult it is to switch to visitors visa status or to extend H1b for few months? Do people have high success rate or is it full of hassle (trying to extend stay on visitor/H1 status)?
ABIM board is an exam we take after finishing residency. I would prefer to finish it now immediately after residency.
