FERRARI 360 CHALLENGE STRADALE PHOTO

FERRARI 360 CHALLENGE STRADALE

ferrari_360_modena_f1_2002

The Ferrari 360 is a mid-engine midsize two-seater sports car produced from late 1999 until 2005. The 360 replaced the Ferrari F355 and was itself replaced by the fairly similar Ferrari F430. For the 360, Ferrari partnered with Alcoa to produce an entirely new all-aluminum space-frame chassis that was 40% stiffer than the F355, yet 28% lighter despite a 10% increase in overall dimensions. Along with the new frame was a new Pininfarina body styling that broke ranks with the last decade's sharp angles and flip-up headlights, replacing them with a rounded appearance that harkened to the 1960s. The new V8 engine, common to all versions, was only slightly larger and more powerful than the F355's at 3.6 litres and 400 bhp (300 kW) of power, but the lighter frame and added stiffness improved performance; the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration performance improved from 4.6 to 4.4 seconds. An engine replacement resulted in the V8 road model that followed, the F430 (internally referred to as the evoluzione or evo) which came out in 2004.

Nine versions of the basic 360 were produced, of which six were road models:
360 Modena, a fixed roof two-door luxury sports coupe, available with a 6-speed manual or F1 electrohydraulic manual
360 Spider, a convertible variant of the Modena
Challenge Stradale, an F1 electrohydraulic manual 360 Challenge inspired variant of a 360 Modena.
360 Modena F1
360 Spider F1

Three were factory race cars:
360 Challenge, a 360 F1 electrohydraulic manual stripped out circuit racing variant of the 360 Modena .
360 GT, a GT racing variant of the 360 challenge race cars, more extreme than a Challenge.
360 GT-C, based on the 360 GT with 360 CS parts to compete in the N-GT class.

The ninth version, 360 Barchetta, was a one-off wedding present from Ferrari to Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo.

The Nissan 370Z (known as the Fairlady Z in Japan) is a sports car manufactured by Nissan Motors. It was announced on October 29, 2008 and was first shown at an event in Los Angeles ahead of the 2008 Greater LA Auto Show, before being officially unveiled at the show itself. The 370Z is the sixth-generation of the Nissan Z-car line, succeeding the 350Z.

The Aston Martin Cygnet is a luxury microcar manufactured by Aston Martin and derived from the Toyota IQ. Its purpose is to allow Aston Martin to comply with the European Union's fleet average emissions standards to take place in 2012.

Aston Martin Cygnet Interior

The Cygnet will be available initially only in the UK, and then to other EU countries. Sales will not be restricted, however, it is expected that demand from existing Aston Martin owners for Cygnet would initially take priority. Aston CEO Ulrich Bez recently announced shipping expectations of about 4000 per year at a price of about £30,000. Bez states that the Cygnet demonstrates the companies commitment to innovation and integrity, whist respecting the need to satisfy demands of emissions and space.

The Cygnet has 98 bhp (73 kW; 99 PS) 1.3L straight-4 engine, it produces 110g of CO2/km and the fuel consumption is 58.9 mpg-US (3.99 L/100 km; 70.7 mpg-imp).

In the recent "Top Gear Season 15, Episode 3", the Cygnet was recently made fun of in the "News" section of the program. Presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond all unanimously expressed distaste for the concept.

MITUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION RED PHOTO

The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, colloquially known as the Lancer Evo or Evo, is a high-performance sedan manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. There have been ten official versions to date, and the designation of each model is most commonly a roman numeral. All use two litre, turbocharged engines and four-wheel drive systems.

The Evolution was originally intended only for Japanese markets, but demand on the "grey import" market led the Evolution series to be offered through Ralliart dealer networks in the United Kingdom and in various European markets from around 1998. Mitsubishi decided to export the eighth generation Evolution to the United States in 2003 after witnessing the success Subaru had in that market with their Impreza WRX, a direct competitor in other global regions.

Japanese-spec cars were limited by a gentlemen's agreement to advertise no more than 280 PS (206 kW; 276 hp), a mark already reached by Evolution IV. Therefore, each subsequent version has unofficially evolved above the advertised power figures, with the Japanese-spec Evolution IX reaching an alleged output of around 321 PS (236 kW; 317 hp). Various versions available in other markets, particularly the UK, have official power outputs up to 411 PS (302 kW; 405 hp).

The tenth generation of the Lancer Evolution was launched in Japan 2007, and overseas markets in 2008.
